Arthritis is not just one disease. It is a broad medical term used to describe more than 100 different arthritis conditions that affect the joints, muscles, and surrounding tissues. Many types of arthritis cause similar symptoms, including joint pain, stiffness, swelling, tenderness, and reduced range of motion. However, the cause of arthritis can be very different for each patient.
Some forms of arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus-related arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis, are caused by inflammation from the immune system. Other types, such as osteoarthritis, develop gradually from wear and tear on the joints over time. Because arthritis symptoms can overlap, getting an accurate diagnosis is important. Identifying the specific type of arthritis helps guide the right treatment plan, reduce joint damage, manage pain, and improve long-term mobility.

The staff here has always been very professional, helpful, and courteous. Dr Farsi is wonderful. She is compassionate, thorough, and she listens to her patients (you don’t find that too much anymore, if at all). I would recommend this facility to anyone with Rheumatoid or other related issues.
I have been attending this clinic for nearly 1 year now. Dr Hasan is courteous, compassionate, attentive, and provides exceptional patient care. In addition to his qualifications, he doesn’t rush patients, listens to and answers all questions. I feel a collective and unified approach to my well-being. The staff are always responsive and professional at either location. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone who is seeking quality care. They exceed expectations and are appreciated by this patient.
I see Dr every 3 months and have always been heard and cared for. But I go to the infusion center 1 time a month, and those ladies are literally amazing! They care for us all with grace and beautiful moments. I feel seen and cared for every single visit!
They are very professional and friendly. Make sure you are doing well while here for infusions, and that we always get to see the specialist within 5 minutes of the appointment time.
Doctor Zamiri is the kindest Doctor I’ve ever had. He always spends a lot of time with me, answering all of my questions and showing a great deal of compassion toward me. I feel incredibly blessed to have found him. The entire office staff knows me by name and treats me with kindness every time I’m there.

Arthritis is a condition that causes inflammation and pain in the joints, which are the places where bones meet, such as the knees, hands, or hips. It can lead to stiffness, swelling, and difficulty moving the joint. There are many types of arthritis, but the most common are osteoarthritis, caused by wear and tear on joints, and rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the joints.
There are more than 100 types of arthritis, but the most common include:
Osteoarthritis – caused by wear and tear on joint cartilage over time.
Rheumatoid arthritis – an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the joints.
Psoriatic arthritis – occurs in some people with psoriasis and causes joint inflammation.
Gout – caused by uric acid crystals building up in the joints, often affecting the big toe.
Lupus arthritis – joint inflammation related to the autoimmune disease lupus.
Ankylosing spondylitis – mainly affects the spine and can cause the vertebrae to fuse.
Juvenile arthritis – arthritis that occurs in children under age 16.
Common symptoms of arthritis include joint pain, stiffness, swelling, and reduced movement in the joints. Many people also experience warmth or redness around the joint and morning stiffness that improves with movement. Over time, arthritis can make joints harder to move and may cause weakness or tenderness in the affected area.
Arthritis can be caused by several factors depending on the type. Common causes include wear and tear on joints over time, autoimmune diseases where the immune system attacks the joints, buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints, and joint injuries or infections. Genetics, age, and obesity can also increase the risk of developing arthritis.
